so.. i just got a 1995 bayliner 1950 that sat on our lot for almost a year. i have never owned a boat before and had to fix a few things to get it ready for summer. i was told to put muffs on to try to get it started and it fired right up. i wasnt told the outdrive needed to be tilted down. it wasnt all the way up..maybe halfway... did i do any damage?

Moved.

As for your damage potential...it depends, how much revving did you do? If it was just idling and not much more, you're probably ok. If it was down into the trim range at all, then I'm sure you didn't do any damage.

I wouldn't sweat it. Just be sure to drop it next time.
