I run my carbs out of fuel after I use on my 1997 Yamaha 90 two stroke. Its as non oil injected model. Sometimes I don't use the the motor for 2 weeks at time at the most. Although sometimes I go with longer stretches as season winds to close. I do this because I am concerned about fuel issues with regards to ethanol fuels. Is this OK to do?

By running till the motor dies you are starving one or more cylinders of fuel and oil before the others and you never get all the fuel out of the carb bowls.
In my opinion it is better to leave full of stabilized fuel and run often so they never dry out. Or drain the fuel out at the drains on the bowls for long storage along with the fogging of motor
