Rule of thumb for average water usage on a boat?

I know they say each person needs a bare minnium of 1 gallon of water per day. But I don't think that includes things like washing, and brushing teeth.
how much water should you have in your tanks for each person on board, per day?

I heard once that nasa had this figured out. they said they could give the crew less water per day, but then morale will go down.

That would be an interesting study to look over, why don't you post the link where you read it. Also the one for the gallon a day recommend. Sounds like you've found some useful survival statistics. Feel free to share your source.

no, still looking. I was going to look at boats 2 days ago, but it was raining. And everyone could not show it yesterday.
I might just bite the bullet and get a boat in decent shape for 2 - 3 grand.

I did not read that nasa stat online, I just remember hearing years ago.
