found a 2021 yamaha tiller handle f70 TLH would like to put a tack on it. do they make a tack that plug and play for this outboard and if so could someone give a PART#

Does crowleymarine show an accessory tachometer for it?

i guess what i'm asking is there a connection under the cowl to just plug a tachometer into. on a tiller handle

Gee, why not look for yourself. Tachometers usually run off the stator pulses for the charging system, so find some (likely yellow) wires coming from the stator under the flywheel, and see if they go to a rectifier/voltage regulator, and a plug for the tachometer.

Isn't it better for you to understand your motor, rather than accept answers that may or may not be accurate.

what you think i come on here with out trying to google it and researching it for weeks. this will be my first outboard always had a detroit diesel in my boats 3-71 - 4-71 SO KAREN if you don't have any helpful info to add just hit the ignore button

So you did weeks of research, when you could have looked under the cowling? Crowleymarine will show a picture of your stator, rectifier/voltage regulator, and maybe you can see the tachometer plug as well. Why not remove the cowling, and then search the Crowley or other parts sites for info.

For a standard tach, you will need ground and B+ as well.

In what country are you?

Yamaha USA never offered an F70 with a tiller handle. If you are in the US I suspect you have a model F70LA with an optional tiller handle retrofit to the motor. Never heard of an F70TLH model.
