rod holders....

just asking , are there factory built rod holders that u can get to put onto the side of the boat , a friend of mine had some homemade ones that were really good , but werent adjustable at all , is there sucha thing?

I love my clamp on rod holders. Dang if I can't think of the name now. They're great because they're adjustable and when you pick up the rod they separate releasing the rod quickly. They come in permanent mounts and clamp ons. Great for aluminum boats. When my brain kicks in I'll try to get you the brand name.

Finally the ole brain kicked in. The rod holders are called Down-east brand. Great rod holders. Spinning rods have to go in upside down but that never seemed to bother all the fish I've caught. I like them because they're great if you're traveling and rent aluminum boats. They're easily adjusted, release quickly and won't break. Just check mounting requirements for your boat. They make different mountings depending on your needs.<br />Goodluck!!!

i use rod holders on my guide boat that are called fish on bass pro sells some like it with a diff. name the bases mount to the boat and the rod holder are removable and also adjust the tilt as well as right to left awsome rod holders in my book never broken one in 6years
