I have a 2000 Mercruiser 5.7 EFI TBI B3. I just noticed saltwater buildup on one of my risers, they are Barr but don't know the age. I also noticed that to the touch the leaking riser is hotter. Anyways, I will be replacing both sides. When I go to Boats.net for the riser gasket part number, it gives me this number, 863726, which is an open gasket, not the restricted one with the 2 holes. I have a FWC system but raw water for the manifold/riser. I did recently replaced the gaskets and the parts guy said mine takes the restricted one and gave me a reason why but can't remember. Will call him tomorrow to ask why the restricted vs open. So I have looked all over the internet and I am just as confused. So many replies to this question. So is Boats.net right or my parts guy? Serial L635326

4c.  Closed Cooled engines with the raw water from the heat exchanger going to the
90-degree fitting on bottom of the exhaust manifold:
Use P/N 27-863726 Gasket – 4 Slot between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust elbow.

Just found this from a Mercury service bulletin 99-10. So I guess my parts guy was wrong and Boats.net is correct.
