Hi All, :)
I have started the process of restoring my boat. The floor and transom and while I am at it, it seems to make sense to restore it completely because it is so old it would look a lot better if I restore it with new and updated interior.
I have learned a lot in this forum and thought I would post my progress and pics here.
I am a novice and I accept all suggestions, info and any help one might provide here. I just started last week, so I am just into the project. I am not in a rush as I believe next Spring would be a reasonable amount of time to complete.
thanx

Any updates on the resto? I have an 89 thompson. I bought mine in pretty decent shape. The floor is solid but Im thinking about putting new carpet in and might put a new floor in while Im at. I want to build a sundeck in place of the two back seats and since Im doing that might as well reupholstry the whole thing... and I guess repaint it too.

No updates lately. We've had rain near everyday since I last worked on the boat. I do have some coming soon. I have lifted the carpet, removed wheel and dash. I have disconnected the controls and will soon start on lifting the engine and the cap.
Do check the transom to make sure you won't have to come back to it later.

I will do that soon, hopefully this week. Rain has kept me off the project, but more pics are coming.

Sorry it took so long to post these new pics. The weather here is 80 degrees bt 8am. I put down a lot of Gator Aide.
Short of pulling off the cap, I have stripped the boat down to the bare deck. In the pics, you'll see the damage of years of water and time. Before I rip out the floor, I want to start on the engine removal. I will want to take my time with this one.
Enjoy the pics, ask any questions you might have, or advice is always welcome.
