request information for shipping to Europe(Belgium)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi to all users of this forum.
My name is Philippe Neuville and I'm sending this mail from Belgium (Europe).
I'm crasy about fishing and specially Walleye, pike and perch.

Two weeks ago I decided to change my boat for a new one. I have a Lund REBEL 1440 T Adventure and I would like to buy the new 2008 model (REBEL XL SS 1625) that I saw on the official Lund site.
Here is my problem. After two weeks of investigation, I'm still enable to find the way how to buy this boat in the States and how to organise the shipping to my country.
I send several mails to some dealers in the States, but nobody is answering me.
Is there anybody who can help me? I'm able to come to the States for paiement and even to organise the shipping on the container, but I need that all administration papers are ready. The reason is that I can only take one week vacation for this and I heard that it could take more and more time.
I tried already via diffenrent way ( import/export )but nothing wich can help me.
If there is anybody who could help me, please just answer me

Kind regards

Philippe Neuville

I bring a LOT of stuff in from your area to here

Without a friendly dealer over there willing to ship to the US it is NOT going to happen in a week if at ALL

One problem is that there may be issues shipping a US motor to Belgium

Hello,

Be carefull, a boat in Belgium and EC needs to have CE certification, Usually a american boat has not unless it is built for the european market. To obtain CE afterwards is almost impossible and expencive. It is illegal to import, sell or use a boat without CE in the EC.

Good luck with your purchase.

Re: REQUEST INFORMATION FOR SHIPPING TO EUROPE (Belgium)

Hello to all who answered me,
I know that's very difficult to organise shipping to Europe, but I'm just looking for informations how to do, what I need for, and the best for me finding somebody who's able to solve all admin problems and make papers ready for shipping.
If anybody has experience in shipping to Europe or any contact who can organise the shipping (eg. society import/export,...)for me, this would be nice.

Concerning Belgium or CE certificate, you are right Peter, I know the problem.
However, I still need confirmation, but may be I'll have a solution for that. But at this time I do not have more info about this.

Dear Tashasdaddy, I'm waiting for you as you told me that you made an inquiry for me.

Thank you to all

Regards

Philippe

You could try contacting a Freight Forwarder in the US. We have numerous foreign customers. Expeditors International is one that we frequently use. They can handle all paperwork but it will cost you. You just need to find a dealer that will let the forwarder pick the boat up. You pay enough they will put it on a plane for you..........

Dear Orion25, it could be another way. Do you have any references or phone numbers like you propose?

try http://www.expeditors.com/

They have offices all over the world including Belgium. Try their office locator. It should have a phone #. We use the Atlanta, GA office so my contacts would not help you much.

I do this a lot, from the USA .
The 1st person you must contact is either a Shipping Agent or a Freight Forwarder, in your country.
You tell them what you propose and ask his advice, and also what the regulations re importing boats are, and where you go to get a copy of these regulations.
That is the smallest part of the procedure, but you need to do it first.
Don't ever lister to "peoples opinions". You must read the legislation and understand the facts, and make your decision from there.
Then comes the real fun side of the operation.....
Cheers
Phillip
