I am looking to purchase a 2001 Hewes Redfisher 16. My question is,would a Yamaha 70 4 stroke engine be enough power for this boat. I‘m not interested in speed. Just wanted to know if this engine would have enough power for this particular boat.

And the rule of thumb is 70-75 percent of the max power will still give you satisfaction for most activities

I don't see a problem unless you are going to be concentrating on skiing etc
