Replacing twin Bravo IIs

My father picked up a 33' Formula (not sure the exact model). Powered by twin 7.4L MPI Mercruiser engines. It had Bravo II drives on it, but we no longer have the drives.

So - we need two new drives to slap on the back of this and ideally want to do it affordably so I'm looking at all the different options and weighing them out.

I originally was thinking SEI Marine, but they only manufacture Bravo I and III, not II. I was reading up on the differences and found a post on site that called out these differences among the drives:
  • Bravo One: For performance boats in excess of 100 mph with one, two, or three engines.
  • Bravo Two: For big twin engine boats up to 55 mph.
  • Bravo Three: For single engine boats up to 65 mph or twin engine boats between 40-65 mph.
So, given this description, Bravo II made sense for the boat, but what would prevent us from slapping a Bravo I or III on there?

Also, are the drives left or right rotation or are they universal? I'd think with a twin engine boat the props would each be rotating opposite of each other.

Any other insight, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated as I'm not familiar with the Bravo drives nor am I familiar with twin engine boats.

Thanks!

Ayuh,..... Bravo IIs are more of a houseboat drive,....

In yer case, either B Is, or B IIIs will work just fine,.....

Bravos can spin in either direction, so counter-rotating is no problem,....
Btw, Bravo uppers are the same, only the lower units are different 'tween the B Is, B IIs, 'n B IIIs,.....
