Repairing marine plywood for zodiac

Hi Boaters,

My floorboard from a zodiac is fraying (pic enclosed). Thought I could patch up the frayed area by glueing it using the same material as shown in red arrow. I am not sure what that material is. But I think I could using thin epoxy and glue that material onto the plywood where it's coming apart. Any thoughts whether its a good or bad plan? Anyone know what that material could be? Marine vinyl perhaps? Thanks.floorboard 01.jpg

Solved if anyone is interested. Used epoxy. pics enclosed. Epoxy is UV resistant. Same material used on surfboards. 2013-08-02 12.37.59.jpg2013-08-09 08.19.23.jpg
