yep crabbie, i had the bug bad a few yrs ago. i went to a local RAF field many times and talked to the guys there. it was neat watching em fly those things. i might try to get one in a couple yrs, if i get done with my construction projects at home hey- thanx for the tips tho
yo MY! i was talking to my pop about mitchell 300's and he said if i wanted to get one, i might want to avoid getting one without anti-reverse. he said he believed there were some 300's that were like this, but not sure. he has a 300a. i was wondering if you remembered which ones come with anti-reverse. and if there are some with silent anti-reverse?
Mellow, I got a couple old mitchell 300 in good working order sittin around if you really want one let me know. They go for 15 to 20 on ebay so hows 10 bucks sound.

----------------
Flathead
that's the beauty.. the carbon fibre is soooo thin that it doesn't affect it..!!

it's a little more invuled,, guys, if & when you's go an do it ,,,give me a hail..
thanks guys, these old reels are better than anything new on the market today IMHO. this one
was my dad's so think I'll fix her. crab's carbon fibre recipie sounds interesting, but not sure if i can find the ingredients round here.
