Remote Control Cables

Hello. I am replacing the remote control unit for my Johnson 115ETL78C. I ordered a new one (BRP) and the wire harness adapter. I not sure weather I should order the pre1979 or post 1979 cables. Thanks in advance for any information you might share

Without pictures it is hard to say.-----Is yours a " powershift II " control box or the later slim control box ??-----Any part # on the old cables ?
