Re: reelfoot,kentuckylake,barkley lake

rango2000 On Lake Barkley the crappie bite will be slow after April, there is a trend this year of more black crappie than white crappie. Gills will be picking up at the time you want to be here. Both lakes Kentucky and Barkley have great Lg bass, and good smallies. Both lakes have great cat fish populations, from channels, blues and flatheads. Realfoot I dont know about, I hear its a good crappie lake, but it is very shallow. What parts of the lakes are you planning on going to? I am only 7 miles from Lake Barkley at Eddy Bay on the North end of the lakes by Barkley Dam and Kentucky Dam. I say you have a great time here if you deceide to come to the lakes here. If I can be any help just let me know.

CatCruzer
Adam

I have fished al three of these lakes and they are all great. I would think twice about taking my boat to Reelfoot though. Reelfoot is shallow and you will encounter stumps and debri in the lake. All of the resorts rent boats that can handle the rough terrain lake, but the fishing is good.

Ghostrider
