:facepalm:My wife and I fish together 4 nights a week. we use a 17 foot Glastron ski boat with 90 horse evenrude. The boat is a 1975. Our fishing hole is 5000 acres and our favarite fishing hole is about 3 miles from the boat ramp. This summer we went out at about 6:30 PM and fished until 2:30 AM. We boated 6 really big Smallies for Northern Wis. and 4 keeper walleye. Thats limit for 2 on our lake. The problem came when we went to go home and found out that the light and radio had run the battery down to just a grunt when I hit the starter. I tried to rope that big motor but to no avail. Here we are in the middle of the night and not one sole out on the lake and the current is taking us away from the ramp. Lucky for us I had 2 long ores on the boat and she on one side and I on the other we played Ben Hur and rowed that 17 footer all the way to the ramp in just under 2 hrs. Needless to say I now carry a spare battery and some tools. Good exercise thou.

What's the difference between a sea story and a fairy tale.

One begins with "Once upon a time......"

The other begins with "Now this ain't no lie......"

Wrap the starter cord around the oar put your feet against the engine and pull. it should start if its tuned up.

that is a great thing to know for big engines. made it worth chewing through the leather straps and getting up today.
