Question on year and Idle mixture screws for XR-6

Ok first ? can anyone tell me the year of this XR-6 engine I believe its an 1995 but just wanted to confirm.. The serial number is OD167181..

The next ? looking at the manual there's no mention of adjusting the idle mixture screws it states to set at 1 1/2 turns out +/- 1/4 turn and that they must all be the same on each cylinder .. so am I right to assume that you set them at 1 1/2 and forget any adjusting them ?

My best guess is a 1992 model.-----What is your motor doing / not doing ?-----How did it run for you last season ?

I got it with an issue not going over 2500 rpm's I found 1 of the switch box's was bad so I'm waiting on a new one.. but the guy that I got the boat from said his buddy turned some of the idles mixture screws so that's what got me lo ok looking into it ... also 92 ? I was thinking around 95..

usually at 1 1/4 ta 1 1/2 turns are really close.... most that wanna "tweak on 'em" have other problems........

if ya wanna be 100% on year look here (pic) for a date stamp.. tha pic is ona high performance block but same applies to production blocks as well.. but in some cases tha date is hard to see and little more erratic with tha placement and depth of stamping.....

Yup that’s why I was thinking 95 because it’s dated 3 13 96 but the welsh plug in the head doesn’t have a serial number on it so I was thinking it’s a replacement power head.

Still confused with the manual not having any information on idle mixture screws adjustment.

that date makes it a '96.... like ya think.. probably been replaced at some time.. not much detail on screws pretty much indicates jus how important it is.. my way a thinkin' anyway..............

Yeah and there supposed to have caps on them that prevent you from adjusting more then a 1/4 turn one way are the other
