Prop Removal

Friend has what we believe to be a 1979-1980 Model 120/140. Trying to remove the prop. Removed the nut, but it will nut come off. is the prop pressed on? Thanks for any help.

EDIT: Prop is mated to a Mercruiser 165 (GM inline 6).

Prop should slide off easily.

It was probably put on without grease on the splines or not regreased periodically.
You'll need a hammer and a piece of wood.

If the nut is off, give the prop a few whacks with a dead blow hammer as close to the hub as possible.

If its been on forever and thw prop shaft hasnt been greased, you may need to cut the prop off
