I have a 1995 FourWinns 190 Horizon w/a 190 horsepower OMC V8. The boat will be used for skiing and tubbing with my wife and kids. I want to have a great holeshot, and was thinking of switching to a four blade prop. My stock prop is a 14"x19". If I was to switch to a four blade prop do any of you have some recomendations size/brand? A friend of mine has an outboard ski boat, and highly recomends a hydrofoil. Would I want one on my stern drive?
Brad

Re: Prop and hydrofoil???

Hi Brad F I put a hydrofoil on my boat(17' 140hp) after reading the posts on this board. I just did it last weekend. The Boat jumped out good enough befour i did this. I didn't think it would be much better, but it is. These things work pretty good but I dont know about for how long. No help on props cause I dont know anything about them other than the one on my boat works great.

I have a new Stiletto 4 blade 18" SS prop in stock. List is 515.00 and we can ship to you for 425.00 including shipping. It would be my recommendation if your 19" 3 blade is in the rpm range you are looking for now. It should pull a bit better too. You can e-mail me at dhadley50@aol.com if you like.

Good luck!
