my primer bulb was laying in the water my boat ran for about 5 minutes and then died out now i can't get it started what could be causing an issue. Did i suck up water into the fuel/water seperator?

not unless your primer bulb had holes in it

why do you think it would run for short amount of time fine then just die and not start? it is a 2019 yamaha super high output motor with just 80 hours on it

Did you have the primer bulb fuel line assembly disconnected at any point? On some outboards it is possible to hook them up backwards. Arrow on bulb needs to pointing towards engine...

Remove the fuel/water seperator pour the gas in a jar to see what if anything is floating around, hopefully nothing.
