I want to replace my original starter motor but I am not sure if the replacement is compatible.<br /><br />My Engine is a Chrysler 55 HP Model: 5542 Serial: 2194<br /><br />The original starter is a Prestolite (not working) <br />PartNumber: 474955-2 <br />Type: MKW-4004 <br />9 Teeth<br /><br />Replacement Starter motor: (is it compatible?)<br />Prestolite<br />MCL-4002A<br />9 Teeth<br /><br />I have a second starter motor that is a Prestolite MGD-4002B with 11 teeth that isn't compatible.<br /><br />What does the 4004 and 4002 mean?
