Tis the end of the trout season here, the wall mart done the street will likely close out the trout supplies. How long will new unopened power baits remain good? Not just useable but actually work.
Thanx Ricahrd

Re: Power baits

rwise , I bet if they are still sealed they
would last for years. I,ll bet you could even freeze em. I have had great success with opened
power bait after years of sitting in my tackle
box.

Re: Power baits

NOSLEEP
Thanx, one of the people I talked with at the lake said "do not let it freeze" it was about 28 deg~ far~ that morning. Just his opinion. If they put these baits on like they put others on over the last few weeks I will buy some and date it. I mean a shakspear x035 real for $7.95, yea I bought one, and a lot of other stuff I usualy pass on!

Re: Power baits

In my garage were I keep my boat and tackle box
power baits & such, In the winter It can get as
cold as -20 cel. So not only do they freeze, they
they go through the freeze thaw process many times
every year. Rainbows love refrozen powerbait!

Re: Power baits

Richard, Went to work in China for 3 years and when I got back all my Powerbait was toast. But, I'm sure it will last until next season.. I wouldn't buy dozens of it tho, unless you use a lot each season.

Jerry

Re: Power baits

NOSLEEP
Thats good to know, I think mine has been frozen at the lake a few times. didn't seem to hurt it.

Gone fishing
I wasn't going to buy them out, but if I coud get a great price on something I know works, and maybe something I haven't tried. Well you know we all spend a lot on fishing!

auslez
Power bait is a man maid bait some clay like some looks like fish eggs, some like worms. It has a fish attractant in it. They claim that it makes the fish bite harder and hold on longer.

Thanx all Richard
