I am thinking that there is but Ill ask anyway, is there a difference between auto plug wires and marine plug wires? If so what is it? Thanks

Ayuh,... If ya buy a Set, say for a SBC....
The automotive wires will all be too short, 'n probably with the wrong ends on 'em....

thanks for the reply, I have a set of universal accel wires that are long enough just didn't know if the insulation is different. My distributor is a points dist so the ends are the same. I tried to do a search prior to posting this and came up with a lot of nothing but now that there are similar threads at the bottom I think that I have my answer reading through them.

I've used universal sets for many years on all seven family boats with no issues and a few USCG courtesy inspections.
