Thinking about hitting the river at Parker AZ this summer. I have never been there. How is it for skiing and tubing with the kids? I have a 19' Sea Ray BR I/O.

The river on the Parker Strip is crowded, so you really need to stay alert as, IMO, it's probably the most dangerous section of river on the entire Colorado river. Down by the Blue Water Casino it's not a busy

The Blue Water is the reason I am considering it. It looks like fun for the kids with the water slide and everything. How wide is the river by the Blue Water?

Our Chaparral dealer used to hold their boat regatta at the Blue Water every year till everything went south. The kids loved the Blue Water and couldn't wait to go every year. I would try to get a floor level room if you can so you're right by the slips and the grassy area outside the rooms.

I would say the river is at it's average width right there for the strip. About 30 - 50 yards or so. The river ends right there as well just past the casino for irrigation.

Parker at bluewater casino is by far my favorite part of the Colorado river. Their beach is much improved with 10 new shaded cabana things for their guests...1st comes gets it...you can bring your vehicle down to the beach too...just have the desk give you a receipt that you are staying there, otherwise it's $5..a large no wake zone and sandy beach is perfect for the kids..go during the week if possible...gets crowded...enjoy!!!...nice launch...free for guests...$15 for a slip...awesome breakfast buffet (omelet bar)...early bird steakhouse deal is the best...bring lots of money..
