in paintin' with this method ,,you can get very good results ..

not goin' into the 'prep' much..

make sure it's litely sanded with 400 grit 'WET & DRY' dipped into a bucket of soapy water to cut the surface & clean the paper an boat as you go..
wash down with a 50/50 ammonia & water..

let dry an paint..

best temp is the ' perfect day'.. i don't know about you's but delaware gets 12 a year... 6 in the spring.. 6 in the fall. ;) ..

70 to 75 deg f.. no wind ..no humidity .. blue sky day..

supplies::

thin nap foam roller

A GOOD brush..the very top of the line an price are to 'full'/thick/fat an stiff.. come down a knotch.. a good lite brown VARISH brush thats fairly flexiable an about 3 inches wide..

a few plastic quart or better containers

cheese cloth ( drips runs & hair/bristle removeale )

a few throw a way strainers

a roller pan & pan liners

an most importantly INTERLUX 333 THINNER..
the thinner is KEY an CAN NOT BE DONE WITHOUT IT..............................

O K let's go ...

thin the paint.. how much ..?? i wish i could answer..

it's a feel thing.. don't thin ALL your paint rite off .. just a pint or so..

if it's to thin.. add some more paint..

not enuff .. add more 333..

you'll know it's right when it right..

pour into a roller pan an roll in the roller. an apply paint..

the thin nap roller only allows so much paint .. if it doesn't run it's thinned rite..

if it wouldn't run if SBN sneeked up on it ;) than it ain't thin enuff..

................O K.......................

roll on the paint.. do a good sized section..than take your brush ,, dip it in some 'thinned paint' AN IN SOME 333 THINNER..

an with just the tip,, proceed to 'knock off' the air bubbles.. there will be millions of 'em...

when the FIRST sign of 'paint pull' ( an it'll come along fast ) STOP..
get more thinner on the brush an continue on..

it's like you're paintin' with mostly thinner with a little paint..

what you're doin' is just eliminatin' the air bubbles..T H A T ' S it...!!
but to much thinner on the brush/&/on surface,, will obvious ,, make the all ready thinned paint run..

you have to work dilligentlly.. cause the paint will really start to'pull' an no matter how much thinner an brushin ya do ,, it wont help.. an it'll be a big PULLED PAINT MESS...

just knock off the bubbles an move on..

roll another section....

an do the same..

spend a little time but not much in blending the 'just got done' to the 'fresh got done'.. but DON'T MESS with it much..
cause it'll/can be a 'pulled paint' mess ,pronto..

lets stop here for a minute...

do the best you can.. an fastly .. an you can't keep goin' back over it.. THE PAINT WILL PULL an MORE BRUSH THINNER will just make it run.. so be carefull blending old to fresh ..

it'll look like a big UGLY mess.. an you'll want to 'kick' yourself & STRANGLE ME for talkin' you into it..

but here's the beauty.. the good part..
it's the 333 thinner.. that's our seacret..

it evaporates a whole lot SLOWER..

so it makes the paint set up much slower.. an gives it time or THE UGLY to settle out
of it...

by the time it does.. the UGLY HAS LEFT THE BUILDING...

if'n you's don't believe me.. sit rite there an watch it dry..

;)
