I recently purchased a 1975 16' Ozark trihull. It has what I believe to be a bilge well at the rear of the boat just in front of the transom. This well has the standard rear drain plug, but also has a quarter sized hole in the side that seems to allow water into the boat. The water level usually only rises to the top of the well, but sometimes goes higher. Can anyone tell me what this is ? It's my first boat forgive my ignorance.

Hi, Mark. Someone installed, then removed a live well system. Dirty trick.

Red sky.
JB

Re: Ozark Trihull

Thanks, I am sure you must be right. There is a live well in the bow under one of the seats. I plugged that hole, but was still getting water in the stern. How does this thing work? Can I just plug it up? Are there holes in the bottom of the boat I should look for? Thanks again.
