Hi folks.
Is an 18 kg outboard a comfortable weight out to lift on and off an inflatable sib regularly, to and from car boot etc. ??

That amounts to 40 lbs, so how well can you lift and maneuver 40 lbs ? As a 74 yr old man, I could manage that with no real issue. Depends in your fitness....

I used to take my 40# kickers off the boat and store them in the basement for the Winter. Did that thru age 73. Now at age 75 I leave them on the boat.

If I had a RIB I'd buy a trailer and leave the engine on the boat, covered and in the garage.

Yep....I got smart about 20 years back and built a big pole barn, so now I just store things like that so I don't have lift and move them around ! While I could still do it....I am getting lazier as I get older.
