ONE MORE PUTER ?

OK, somewhere out there in the vast arena of computer people, there has to be someone that knows how to get the wave/midi or whatever kind of file it is, for the AOL e-mail. You know, "YOU'VE GOT MAIL" saying.<br />I would like to get it to put into my e-mail set-up to say that when I get a e-mail.<br />I have a telephone ringing now and it drive's the dog's crazy. <br />Any help would be much appreciated.

don't know about "you have mail", but you can turn the sounds off alltogether.<br />control panel then sounds.... un-click the new mail notifier.<br />you can also chose from several different types of sounds if you want to know when new mail comes in. there's probably one the dogs would like.<br />good luck,<br />M.Y.

SBN, Glad I could help. There are quite a few good sound file sites out there. One of the best used to be Sound America. Now it is so full of banner ads, that it is almost unusable. If you want sound files from TV shows, movies etc. they have a huge collection, just be prepared to close popup ads like crazy until you get to the directory you want.

Thanks Scoop. Those were good. <br />BTW, while we are on the puter subject, I have a animated gif for my e-mail sig. I was wanted to change it. It is a ink pen writing DAD and I was wanting to change it to sign my name. Any ideas how to go about this?

SBN, I am not good with art, but I did download a trial of some software that would let you do at least some of this. It is called Smart Pix Manager. A free trial can be downloaded here<br /><br /> http://www.xequte.com/ <br /><br />From there, hopefully someone else can help.<br /><br />It was cool to see the frames of the animated gifs though.
