If I have a live well with a thru hull fitting in the bottom, when I put the boat in the water the live well would fill up with water until it reached the water line on the outside of the boat. Then stop filling up. This is the conclusion that I have come up with the way my old live well worked
So am I right?
Ok if the above statement is correct. This is what I am trying to do.
I want to have 2 bait wells in my boat in addition to a live well. I will be pumping in the water for the live well. I want to use the idea above to get water into the bait well, however, this would not give me enough water in my bait well. I would need the water in the bait well to be above the water line of the boat.
So is everyone still with me?
So how do I get the water in the bait well above the waterline? (This is the question at hand).
Well here is my idea on the question. If I had a pipe connected to the thru hull fitting. That was as high as I needed the water to be in the bait well. It would fill to the top of the pipe. So am I right
Thanks for the help
