My johnson 130 ( 2000) is leaking oil back through the main fuel line through vro( oms) pump. Just need to know if it is still safe to use the engine or is this a sign the pump is starting to fail. i have herd of rebuild kits, but until i get one is the boat safe to go out on. any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

What you describe is technically not possible. However you may have oil pressed/forced into the carbs when engine not used due to overpressure in the oil tank, or that the oil tank is located above the engine (carbs) creating a siphon effect.

It's pressure in the oil tank. May have a bad oil tank cap not venting properly.
