Hi all , I replaced my water pump in my 1971 omc electric shift leg stringer outdrive with buick v6, all was good , worked for a while , now no shift, found wire cut at transom near the drive ball-gear, I repaired wire & sealed it, now could some one give me proper routing of this wire to prevent this. Picture etc, how far should this go through transom. etc.
