New member with a few questions.<br />Earlier this year I bought a ~1975 Starcraft 18' Aluminum boat with a 120HP OMC (2.5l or 153 ci) engine and 140HP OMC Leg. Both have been rebuilt (engine is 40 over) as the boat had been sitting for a few years. Less than 20 hours use after the rebuild. I'm trying to get 35 mph out of it as some friends want to ski that fast. I have a 14 X 16p prop and at WOT I run about 30 mph at 3600 rpm. I switched to a 14 X 14 and get about 28 mph at 4200 rpm. My manual says the motor should operate between 4000 and 4400 rpm. <br /><br />So I've gone back to the 14 X 16. I'd like to get a little more speed and rpm out of the boatand am wondering if anyone else has a similar setup or has any quick insights. If I can't get to 35, I'm not too concerned as my real lve is fishing and trout don't swim that fast.<br /><br />Thanks
