First, it's bilge...not billage. Second, simply find the other end of the hose and let us know what it is connected to.

Thanks for pointing out the misspelling,however it dosen't help with the {bilage ;) }
I would point out the part if i could identify it!
but i am unable to find a diagram of this section anywhere on the net,know where i can find them?.
Our omc mechanic says it can be any of 5 different things,as listed.
1.rear main seal
2.valve cover
3.oil sending unit
4.litter cover on side of block
5.oil pan
2-3&5 are ok! looking at 1&4 this afternoon.
still,thanks for your input into this matter!

CableRat.

Cable, if oil is coming out of this hose, it has to be connected to something, right? Follow it to its source. If you can't follow it to it's source then it will be impossible to diagnose here. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply,yes i have followed the hose to the end using a light and a hand mirror.so i know where it ends up!.I was not wise enough to think of this the first time!.I just thought if i left this up a little while some other person might find some use for this information!.I am going fishing on the 27th through the29th of this month,then ill take it apart,or if i decide to let our OMC dealer do it.
Not sure yet!,hate to miss the fun!.I can run the
boat for 3 to 5 hours before i lose a quart of oil. i have rigged a system to catch the oil in a seperate sealed container,with a vent to push out air when oil enters.Will hold 5 quarts,will check often while in use this week.I don't want any oil to get into waterway! or lake! that was my main concern!.Again thanks for your input in this matter.
CableRat
