This year again we had the pleasure of enjoying a 3 day boat in camping trip along the Colorado River between Parker Arizona and Lake Havasu. We put in at the Parker Dam, a nice little ramp called "Takeout Point", and traveled about 6 miles upstream (North-West) to a BLM boat accessible only campsite. It took two trips from the ramp to camp to get everything and everybody there in our 19' Bayliner bow rider. The next day (Saturday) we boated 12 miles further up and spent most of the day at a free dock in Lake Havasu City enjoying the city and cruising under the London Bridge. After catching the most unlucky catfish in the lake Saturday night (we proved we were bad fishermen) we awoke Sunday morning to an incoming storm. We took the kids and admirals back to the Parker ramp with the light supplies, we returned to the camp to break down the tents, clean the beach and load everything else for a somewhat rough final trip back to the Parker dam. Here are a few pics, and it was a blast of a trip, can't wait for this 50 degree Arizona winter to end so we can head back.
