Has anyone info or a site with info on the Northwest 18?

It's an 18 foot open boat with a foredeck back to the mast and a retractable keel but I have seen the boat only in the water and don't know much more than that. Owner said the boat weighed 800 lbs - I think the keel must be about 400. The beam is about 4 feet. It looks like lapstrake construction but it must be glass. I found sail specs - that's it.

He said info on the net was scarce. They also made 21 and 30 footers but maybe only a couple dozen of each and that was in the '70's.

Re: Northwest 18

I have a Northwest 18 and have also owned the 21 footer in the past.. Love both boats... We have been real pleased with both. Our 21 footer was used primarly in the ocean and took upto 11 foot seas with little trouble. Had a full head too. Anyhow we sold it when we left the coast and found an 18 footer and decided to buy it since we were looking for a smaller boat for the lakes.. Been as pleased with it as the 21.. Anyhow we love it and works very well... if you hear of more information on the boat please share since it is hard to find more about the boat.. Thanks.. Steve Email: Sail@goodgorge.com
