Nissan Questions

Been looking for a different motor for my pontoon used on a small river. Have a 25hp johnson now. Its a good motor, but a little to noisy at more than 1/2 open. Can't have a good conversation. I have been offered a 05 or 06 (not sure yet) Nissan 40hp remote with controls and installed for about $1800. Motor will be checked out (compression and lower unit). I have been told this is fuel injected, similar to a E-tex. Can any one give information or advice on this. Any help would be great. Thanks

Direct fuel injection on the MD40 TLDI model. The M40D2 is a carbed model. $1800.00 would be a bargain on either one.

Thanks for your help. Any idea's if this is a good reliable motor. I believe this is the MD40TLDI model. Not sure, will have to check further. Can you give me some idea of the noise level on ether model compared to a two-stroke 25hp johnson or mercury. Again Thanks

The most reliable DFI in production.(fact) Old style anythings are not in the same league(opinion).
