I just bought a 1987 chaparrall 215 xlc. I do not have a manual for it and would realy like to know the fuel capacity. The owner before me only owned the boat for a year and never used it. Does anyone know the specifications on this boat? Does anyone know where I can get a boat manual for it? Thanks for any help!

POSTING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FENCE (BOATING & ENGINE/MOTOR)WILL NOT HELP YOU.

I answered on other side & I will copy over for you.

------------------------------------------

Try this website. http://www.greertank.com/tankcalc.htm
(Will calculate rectangular & cylindrical tanks)

To check it out... I took out my Overton's catalog & checked with thier listing of tanks & it came pretty close to listed tanks. I think it was off a little because it is very hard to completely fill a tank, baffles, sending unit, etc..

Good luck... remember always "top it off" & fill when at 1/4 tank!!!

---------------------------------------------

fone_man

Fone_man,

That is very good advice about keeping your fuel above 1/4 tank. I allowed mine to go below that and sucked up a bunch of trash from the bottom of the tank. Glad I have a clear inline filter. I spotted it before it became a bigger problem.

------------------
If everything seems to be going well, you have
obviously overlooked something.
