She's a 96' with just a hair over 400hrs on the 3.0 Merc. She's alot better looking in person, believe me. I have a question already after reading up a tad. Does this model Islander have the same problem with the floor and transom not having any drain? I plan on putting in a back-up bildge pump for emergency use, but if this is the case I also better bring a bucket.

Also a noob question, How do I back my boat up that steep driveway in the pic without the surge brakes grabbing, I apologize for the question but I only had the boat for a day before we sent it away for a new cover.

Don't surge brakes usually have some sort of lockout? Like a pin or something?

The rig should have a drain in the floor of the cabin. Water on the main deck should flow straight into the bilge, as boats tend to sit with the bow a bit higher than the stern.

I'd want 2-3 bilge pumps on a rig like that just in case a drain got clogged or a pump decides to fail. One manual and two on a float switch for peace of mind.

That steering wheel is nice, I want one like it
