Hi iboat community... just wanted to welcome and introduce myself, and after following the site for a little while, I decided to register due to the abundance of available information. I immigrated from South Africa and have fished mainly off the east coast of South Africa and the St Lucia wetland estuaries my entire life. Lake fishing is a new concept to me and will probably be the only type of fishing I do, due to the numerous lakes around my area.

I am saving up to try and convert my 2012 Bayliner 185 to suit my needs for fishing. The boat was not exactly my ultimate choice, but I have two teenage boys and a wife that totally enjoy being out the water as well.

I look forward to participating in discussions, making new friends and most importantly increasing my boating and fishing knowledge

Welcome aboard! Glad you joined. Since you have followed the site for a while, you are aware of the knowledgable people here who are willing to help with virtually everything! Don't be shy at adding your knowledge to the pot. You will probably develop some great friends over time as well.

Don't forget to read the rules, because the mod squad hates to have to correct anyone ;).

Looking forward to learning more about you, your boat, your family, and your boating and fishing activities.

You're going to enjoy shaking the salt. Welcome aboard. The only drawback is that the bigger fish are in the saltwater.

Welcome aboard Willie, and remember, "Boats don't catch fish, boaters do"
