New stator question

Just installed a new Rectifier and Stator on my 88' XP 150. My old stator had the brown/yellow wires going to the starboard side and the Browns going to the port. My new stator had shrink wrap around the yellow stator wires going towards the wire terminal and the solid brown wires so I just have my stator wires going to the opposite powerpacks now. Is that ok? Or should I cut the shrink wrap and run them how the old stator was?

Maybe you should ask the manufacturer if no one here knows.
On mine, which is a different motor, one set charges the rectifier/battery circuit whereas the other does the ignition circuit to run the motor/spark. I would think they have different voltages so shouldnt be messed up etc but i might be wrong with mine and ive no idea what your stator internal charge coil set up is

Brown pairs can go to either side. They simply provide approx. 200vac to the pack.
