New owner of 70s era 16 footer

Well..i just bought a 16 ft cris craft ski boat. i got it for $700. It has 4 cyl engine whoch fprmer owner say probably just needed starter but has set up for a few years. it has all cables and steering intact. fiberglass has faded paint but looks solid. Floor is solid all parts and seating seem to be there but needs reupholstery. The spilt windscreen is complete. Its a project boat meant to be used for fishing and lake cruising. Im not sure what model it is for sure at this time or exactly what engine. did they use the iron duke 4s? It looks similar to those. Not my first boat but is first inboard. I plan to reupholster it and put in new carpet and get engine running well but definitely no full restoration in plans . What size battery would this boat probaly use? it does not have that now so will probably be first expense. thanks for any help in advance in getting this running.

I discovered its actually an 85 scorpion with 4 cyl mercruiser..now at homecready for rebuild
