new ower needs help!!

newbie here, my first boat...have a 87 chris craft with a 2.5 that'll start
but not stay running!!!
i see / can get some gas to the carb, but the filter only seems like
it's about 1/4 full if that.
pulled pump. think it looks to be holding pressure....
can a pump go 1/2 out? meaining, still pump but not enough
to keep the motor running ....?

or should i be looking at the carb? or ?

Replace the filter. 4 bucks?

could be the pump, filters, bad fuel line, bad anti-syphon valve....start with the filters (fuel-water filter and the one in the carb)..if that does'nt solve you problem....then fuel system needs to be trouble-shooted per manual
