New here - here's my boat

Hello fellow sailors!

I've been using the forums to absorb some knowledge from the Trailering section. I've been sailing my dads Buccaneer most of my life but this past year I picked up 72 Chrysler Mutineer (15 feet total length) so that I could start trailer sailing more often

Thanks! The boat is a little older than me, but seems to have been well taken care of in its previous life. I will say that a pair of padded shorts are in order. I spent 3 hours on the boat in Lake St. Clair a few weeks ago and I was really hurting the next day.

That looks like tons of fun. Are there any clubs around to race it in, or is it just for fun?

Small sailboat racing is such a blast!

I'm not active yet in racing but there are a couple of other Mutineers here and we get together ocassionally to race / cruise around. Of course there are the regional events that require camping + sailing + road trip which are incrediblly entertaining.

It's a great little boat for me.

Looks like a fast boat. I used to love racing, especially when it blew!

Nothing like getting up on a screaming plane, on a broad reach with a spinaker up! Now that's a ride!

my boat does have a spinnaker and launcher... I can't wait to actually try it out (I've been learning the boat first)

Will do... Although, I'd probably need my passport if I were to get too close to the edge of the "boarder."

The sail # is 1181 on my boat. I might make it out next weekend for one last time before the winter but if not, I'll look forward to next year and all the repairs I have planned for this winter.
