Hello wise gurus of iboats. My name is Damion and after seeing the knowledge in the community here I knew someone could help me figure out what kind of boat it is I'm getting.

My boss got a new to him four winds boat. Problem is he needs a place to keep it, I convinced him the right answer was to pass his old reinell down to me. I spent many summers growing up boating with friends and family in Minnesota so while my knowledge in makes and models is slim to none I do understand what to look for in a used boat. Being a Colorado boat as long as it was put away properly I wasn't terribly concerned about rot in any of the wood and this was confirmed with a quick inspection. More will be done naturally but considering we think the boat is a 74 and the floor felt better then most prefabbed homes I'm not terribly concerned I'm getting a lemon. We believe the boat is a 19 or 20 footer

Now the interior is a different story, it's been in the barn 12 years you see. Nothing I'm afraid of in fact restoring this boat is something I look foreword to. I just don't know what it is. The motor is a mercruiser 188hp ford I believe is a 302 but the boss says it's a 351. Valve covers say 188hp. There is a spare motor that comes along with the boat too that was rebuilt 10 years ago but never installed. This motor is still fresh confirmed with a full leakdown test.

If someone recognizes this out of the pics below i'd love the help and if this is in the wrong section mods please move. Also I will get more pics after the holiday is over.

Welcome aboard saab:

HIN will probably only help you confirm the year - which you already know. The model may be a little tougher to figure out, but if the capacity plate is still on it (usually up by the helm) the model should be there. Reinell - as far as I know - only ever named their boats by length (T180, 195, etc.), so there may not be much more to glean than a tape measure can tell ya' anyhow.

That said, REINELL is still in business, and there are some specs HERE.

What specific information are you looking for? (Knowing the exact model may be irrelevant).
