New engine for 1990 Bayliner capri 2000?

I'm looking to replace a force 150 outboard on a 20ft bayliner capri.<br />I know its above the rating on the sticker (then again so the 150 originally supplied?) but I can get a good deal on a 200hp suzuki, would this be ok or is it likely to crack the mount on the hull?<br /><br />Thanks.

Howdy Ikar2. 150 is above rating? 200 will likely kill you. Go for legal power.<br /><br />Happy boating.<br />JB

I spose...does this legal power / rating thing apply outside th US?<br /><br />the sticker on the boat says 125hp, but from what i read all were supplied with force 150 outboards....<br />don't really want another force...oh well looks like i'll have to find another...
