Hi guys, I haven't been around for about a year.

Okay, still the same outboard, a 1981 25 horse merc, thru hub exhaust, and one banged up prop.

I can find two numbers stamped into it between the blades, on one side it read "PS 3511" and the other side reads "PS 9511".

if that wasn't confusing enough, it has been painted a few times, and I am having a hard time determining pitch. I can barely make out what appears to be "13 P A4" written in much smaller letters, but it has been painted several times and it hard to make out.

the serial number is 5813280 if that helps, and the diameter (eye-balled with a tape measure) looks to be around 9 inches or so. its hard to tell because it came to me pretty banged up.

the plan is to replace it this week and use the old one for a spare.

so far I think this is the right one:

Solas Amita Aluminum Boat Propeller #1211-101-13 for Mercury 25 HP Outboard 1980 - 2005 2-Stroke, - iboats

please advise,
thanks.

If all you are looking to do is replace the prop with a new one of same pitch, go for it.

You would need a tachometer to determine if a 13 pitch is actually the correct pitch for the application.

The Mercury prop selector says a 13 pitch for your(if that's the one in your profile) boat.
