Hi, Have 2000 Checkmate 17.5 feet, with a 2010 evinrude 150hp etec on it. Right not I have a 22p prop, not sure of diam (having ski pole installed). It runs about 55mph at 5,200rpm wot. Has great hole shot with me and one more person. But trying to pull tuber and 3 other people, very, very bad hole shot. What would be a good prop to switch to? I was thinking 19" 4 blade with 14.5" to 15" diameter. Would this be good for pulling skier or up to two tubers?

thanks,
Rudy

Your engine is rated at Full Throttle RPM Range 4850 - 5850 RPM.

Add the weight you talk about and I can see you in the right rpm area with a 19P 4-blade.

I think a 4 blade stainless would be the way to go. U do have enough RPM's to go with a 19 pitch, but If I believe correct the Etec 150 reaches its max HP at 5,000 rpm's and I am not sure if the power band starts to curve back down after 5,000 RPM a little. U may want to try a 20 pitch. I think stainless is better as it will flex less. If you are interested I have a 19 pitch 4 blade OMC renegade offshore sitting in my garage.
