Need Help

Hi im new on the forum trying to figure some stuff out about the motor i just recieved with my boat. I was told it is a 57 evinrude lark 35hp..motor is running great had to change gas and thats it. it was fully restored last year. i now need to replace the control cables both throttle and gear. is there a certain cable i should looking for as i see different cable numbers or can i go with any old evinrude cables. I am not experienced when it comes to boat motors and this is the last piece to gettin her on the water..

welcome to iboats. please when you post put part of your problem in the heading. 99.9% of the people need help of some kind. if you have the removable ends like in the following picture, you can use OMC style cables. go to teleflex. com instructions for an education.

by the way that is a great motor. i have a 58 johnson, the same motor.

thanx tash..sry about the title didnt even think ha and i use forums a bit lol..thanks for the advice those were the ones i considered..and yes it seems pretty good so far. fully restored and runnin good
