Hey me again, I got whiped out.

here it is again in case there are anymore people out there with other ideas.

1989 omc 5.7l, no idea how many hours.

There is a tan "cream" under my valve covers, obviously some water mixed with my oil up there. I just bought the boat about 4 months ago. When I first got it it wasn't there. After about 4 hours of running it showed up. There is no loss in engine power, still strong as hell, and engine runs fine (skipps at hi rpm, but carb needs a rebuild). Oil quanity has not gone down. I have a thru hull exhaust and both sides steam slightly, not much. THe "foam" is on both the right and left hand sides, but only under the valve covers. There is nothing in the oil pan at all. I have changed the oil and cleand out the valve covers, but like an idiot, didn't do the filter. It came back again. I have had a lot of people tell me they think it is just condensation in the motor, due to the fact that the guy I bought it from only ran it about 10 hours in 14 months. I have had a few people say it is a manifold or riser, and a handful say it is a head gasket. Any more info would be great. THanks

josh
