Need help resurrecting a 1977 Hydra Sports 175

Can anyone tell me the biggest motor I can hang on my 1977 Hydra Sports 175? It was given to me a couple of years ago and now that I've retireed have the time to bring it back. The boat no longer has it's data plate and the local guys here don't seem to know. Also where can I get a replacement data plate and is it necessary to even have one?

Check out NADA.COM for sure, but I believe it is 150.What I find just as important if not more is weight of engine.I would not want anything heavier than 420lbs..

I have a 1991 1750CC and its rated for up to 140hp
