I just bought a boat which needs painting. I went on the Interlux web site. It was very helpful. They show us step by step what to do.
I was wondering if I decide to go with Interlux, one part paint, am I doing the right thing?
I don't expect an out of the manufacture result, but I don't want streaky hull and topside either.
Anyone with any suggestion?????

Thanks alot

Interlux One part paints are easy to use and sometimes if waxed right you can not tell the difference between two part and one part! One tip:

CLEAN the hull first remove the wax then clean with some chemicle that I forgot the name of then you dry it with a rag, then sand, wash with water  then when you start painting keep more paint brushes ans rollers then you need and have a friend help,

You might also want to practice with a cheap west marine 1 part paint on plywood.

1. Buy good brushes
2. Take off the rubrail if it is not riveted on
3. Wash the boat really, really well
4. If previously painted, remove all of the old paint or your new paint will look as rough and streaky as the old except it will be shiny
5. Three or four thin coats are better than one thick one
6. Two people make the roll and tip method easier
7. Don't get frustrated
8. Strain all of your paint and primer

buy an use there 333 thinner.. it's the 'KEY' an the magic potion.. it's magic cause it evaporates very slow.. allows more time for the paint to set up..

therefore,, allows more time for the 'UGLY' to fade from the paint...
